The book I read was Totally Joe by James Howe. It’s about a young boy named Joe Bunch and his language arts teacher assigned him a project called an alpha biography. Joe doesn’t really know what to write about though. His teacher said to write down all his secrets because the teacher is the only one that will see it. The thing about Joe though, is he’s not like other boys. He isn’t a “guy-guy.” Joe is actually gay but yet he’s proud of it. His Aunt Pam knows he is and so does his parents but his aunt is more supportive. I say this because she is always doing stuff for him like putting a colored streak in his hair and painting his pinky nail and piercing his ear. Joe also has great friends because they know he’s gay but it doesn’t bother them they just go along with it. Before you read Totally Joe you have to read Misfits because it’s the beginning of the whole story of the friends and drama.
I would recommend this book to mostly girls because most guys are immature. Most of them will see the word gay and start laughing or make a joke about it. Also, most guys wouldn’t be able to handle some of the events that happen in this book.

The book I read was Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins. Mockingjay is the third book in The Hunger Games Trilogy. Mockingjay follows up on what happened after the exciting ending of Catching Fire and Katniss' life after the Quarter Quell Games. Katniss becomes the Mockingjay, a symbol of freedom, and helps the rebels fight the Capitol. To find out what happens to Katniss and her friends (and enemies), and who wins the war, you will have to read it yourself.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an excellent book loaded with action. Any gender can read this. This book will make you want to keep reading. You will not be able to put it down, especially at the end, when all the action takes place. You won't believe the twist.

The book I reccomend is Wings by Aprilynne Pike.Laurel's life is changing when her parents get new jobs and she goes from being homeschooled all her life to having to go to to high school.Even worse is the fact that a flower like plant is sprouting from her back right in the begining of the year, almost like wings.Laurel learns that she is a fairy and had a whole different life without her human parents. When trouble comes to the fairy world Laurel must choose between being a human and being a fairy. I reccomend this book to girls mostly because is narrated by a girl and has the fairy theme. If you like fantasy then you should read this book. There is also sequels to Wings, called Spells and Illusion

The book I have read was Wringer by Jerri Spinelli. This book is about Plamer LaRue a kid who unlike most others in his town is dreading the day he turns ten. In this town there is a special event called Family Fest.This is just like a carnival, with rides games, and lots of food.The only thing bad about it is that on the last day they take 5,000 pigeons and have a sharp shooting contest. All of the ten year olds in the town have to clean up after each shooter takes his turn.Palmer never liked the idea of killing pigeons in the first place, but when a pigeon comes to his house and won't leave he has to choose between what is right and what everyone else is doing. I reccomend this book because it is an easy read and it has a strong message. This novel will have you reading until the very end.

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

I recently read Lord of the Flies by William Golding and enjoyed it. This book is about a group of schoolboys stranded on an island after the plane they are on crashes. Immediately when you read the book you meet Ralph and Piggy. Ralph is voted leader after he and Piggy find and blow on a conch shell resulting in the rest of the boys grouping together. Also, throughout the book kids think they see a beast on the island and everyone is scared of it.You also meet Jack Merridew in the beginning of the book. Jack and Ralph later fight over being the chief of the group. Though this book is about a bunch of kids surviving on an island, it has a deeper meaning. I believe this book teaches the reader how a community really works and how an entire group can fall apart if split.
I recommend Lord of the Flies to anyone who wants an adventure story ,or for anyone who wants to read the book for all its worth. Any way you read it you will find Jack and Ralph's opinions on leadership, Piggy's logical thinking, and the twists of the book very interesting and entertaining

I've recently finished Model don't eat Chocolate Chip Cookies by Erin Dionne. Celeste Harris is everything but skinny. Her official nightmare began when she discovered that she was selected to participate in a modeling contest for “larger” people. In order to avoid the embarrassment, she decided to lose weight and shrink right out of the competition or to be known as Miss Husky Peach Pageant for the rest of her life! Along the way, Celeste began to discover the side of her that she had never known.
I recommend this book to girls because it includes views of middle school friendships, family dynamics and girl issues. It mainly deals with weight problems that would probably affect a teenage girl. If you want a humorous girl book, then pick up Model don't eat Chocolate Chip Cookies and give it a try!

Assassin is about a girl name Bella who is sent to live with her dad's grandma in Washington DC because ever since her mother's death, her father had gone into a drunken stage and didn't want Bella around it. Bella has always had a dream of becoming an actress but since her grandma disapproves, she lands her a job as a seamstress at the White House for president Lincoln's wife. While working there she becomes friends with their sons, Tad and Willie and their friend, Steven. But during all this the Civil War begins. She is torn between the North and the South side because her friend she meet who is the famous actor, John Wilkes Booth is siding with the South, but the rest of Washington and her family is siding with the North. Throughout this book, John is sweet-talking her to believing that helping him keep slavery, it will also help her father. So, Bella has to make some decisions weather she wants to help him but it is all a matter of who she is going to hurt. From reading this book you learn all about President Lincoln's death, while hearing a fictional character's thoughts on if she is going to betray her president and the rest of her country to win America's best actor's heart.

Duff Pringle, the main character, is just out of high school when he gets a job offer as a computer programmer from a company in California. He buys a used Ford Escort and decides to drive cross-country to his job so that he can see the country. However, barely a hundred miles from home, his old car breaks down. Using the Internet, Duff finds someone who wants somebody to drive a car to St. Louis. Duff accepts and uses that as way to continue his journey. Along the way, he meets a friendly hitchhiker named Stu, a girl named Bonnie who wants to be a singer, and many other unique characters. The trip takes many interesting twists and turns, which makes it really fun to read.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books about road trips and likes when unexpected things happen in a book.

The book I read recently is called The Necromancer by Michael Scott. This book is about Josh and Sophie Newman being the "twins of legend" who are supposed to save the world. This is the 4th book in the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. In this particular book Scatty and Joan are in another shadow realm, Sophie, Josh, the Flamels, and Aiofe (Scathanch's sister) are going to Palemedes to teach Josh the magic of fire. Also, Dee and Virginia Dare are planning on ruling Earth by setting the mother of all gods, Coatlicue, into the shadow realms. Also Macheavelli and Billy are still trying to realise the monsters into San Fransisco. If this seems like too much happening at once Michael Scott writes it so well that you can follow the stories easily. I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy books or want to read a really good series. I not only recommend this book but the entire series.

This book is about a girl name Sophie who is 15 and is boy crazy just like the rest of us. Sophie finally gets asked out by the boy of her dreams, Dylan and knows it is true love. But she starts to notice that there are some problems. He actually watches the movie on their dates and he doesn't want to tell his parents that she is Jewish. While trying to find someone other then Dylan, she starts to have strong feelings for a boy name, Murph. Liking Murph turns out to be a whole lot harder then liking Dylan. Murph is the school's biggest dork. Sophie doesn't know how she is going to tell her friends about her feelings for Murph but if she doesn't come clean she will be as bad as everyone else who makes fun of them. What My Mother Doesn't Know is a book written in verse about a girl who is being true to herself and having the strength to not give up on what makes her and her heart happy. I would recommend this book to girls because it is about love, drama, relationships, and friendships.

This forrest is filled with zombie like creatures called the unconsecrated who carry a disease that turns you into one of them if bitten.When her village is breeched by these creatures Mary, her brother, and a few others are driven out of their home and into a path where only a fence seperates them from the unconsecrated.The rest of the book is about how or if she survives her journey on this path. I reccomend this book to boys or girls because there is some romance, violence, and great story about one girl's will to survive.

Before Armand knows it he finds himself caring very much for this family that may have more serious problems than he’s had or has ever had. Being kind he offers the family to sharing is awkward home under the bridge with them. Into worst matters the three children have missed having a comfortable, cozy home of their own. The worst part it was right before the holidays. Armand always thought what one man like him could do to help this poor, kind family for the holidays?!?

The book I just finished reading was Charlie St.Cloud by Ben Sherwood. This book is about a boy named Charlie who sets out on a journey to find his true love. One day Charlie got two tickets to see the Boston Red Sox play baseball, which is Sam and Charlie’s favorite baseball team. One thing they didn’t know was that on the way home from the game they would get into a really bad car accident and only one of them would survive. Charlie was that one. After that accident Charlie was miserable and basically gave up on life. He moved to the cemetery where Sam was buried and became the caretaker there. Finally after thirteen years of the same routine at the cemetery Charlie met the love of his life Tess. Tess is actually a spirit when he meets her, but he doesn’t know it. After the accident Charlie got the gift to see people who are in between the living and dead. But then he sets out on a journey to find Tess and finally have a good life again and so they can fall in love.
I would recommend this book to mostly girls because it is a love story and girls would understand it better then boys. If you want to find out if Charlie saves Tess from dying and they live happily ever after, you have to read the books.

The informational novel (written like a fictional), Close To Shore, is a great (true) tale of the month of drama of/following the July 1916 Jersey Shore shark attacks (which later inspired the movie “Jaws”). This story starts with a breezy afternoon on a 1916 New Jersey beach, when people thought of sharks as we today think of dragons: a myth. But when the first man is killed by a shark… the detectives that investigate find that sharks “are harmless” and could not have killed a man, but we now know today that that is completely false. Instead, they think the murderer is along the lines of a killer whale. More people are killed, and as the people of the east coast try to track down and kill whatever is taking lives, they found out something that no one would ever want to believe…

I thought this was a great “just for fun” book, but also for people who maybe have a report or informational paper due on great white sharks. I found it very exciting since the author, Michael Capuzzo, really understands how to grip a reader and feel like they’re in the story. What I liked most about this was that different parts are told from different people. The narrator’s view changed from the perspectives of the victims, witnesses, to even the actual shark! This book helps you see the event from all angles and is overall a great book.

The book I read was Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins. Catching Fire is book two in the Hunger Games trilogy. The story is about a girl named Katniss, who is trying to keep her friend Peeta alive. In the story, there are “games” that must be won to stay alive; 24 kids must fight to the death to become the winner. In this second book, Katniss must return to the games as part of an evil plot the President is planning. This time, however, she has to keep her friend Peeta alive. Will she be able to complete her task, you will have to read it to find out.

I would recommend this book and trilogy to both boys or girls, because there are both male and female characters in the book that will make it interesting for anyone to read. This book would be a great choice for anyone who likes stories with a lot of action.

The book I read is The Toilet Paper Tigers by Gordon Korman. This book is about a boy named Corey. He is on a little league baseball team, which is sponsored by a toilet paper company. If that isn't bad enough, the team is terrible, and the coach knows nothing about baseball. And, to top it all off, the coach's niece, who is an annoying know-it-all, is the team’s “manager”. Throughout the book, Corey tries to get Kristi, the coach’s niece, kicked off the team. You'll will have to read the book to find out if anyone leaves the team.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes baseball. I would also recommend the book to anyone that likes humorous books, because it will make you laugh.

This book is about two high school kids named Brendan and Gary. Brendan and Gary don't play any sports and thats a bad thing in their school. All they football payers and jocks bully them very badly. Brendan was bullied to far one time and then he cracked and got revenge. To find out what Brendan did you'll have to read Give A Boy A Gun.
I liked this book for multiple reasons. First, at the bottom of every other page, there are facts about bullying, guns, and crime in America. I also liked how the author wrote it. Each couple of paragraphs or paragraph is written from a different person in the story. I would recommend this book to mostly boys since there is a lot of violence, however girls can enjoy it, too.

This book is the third book in the series. Three best friends are going through their senior year in high school. There is Maddie, Zoe, and Angela they tell you about what’s going on in their lives through instant messaging. There is a girl in school named Jana, she is one of the people who is out to get the girls. They are trying to decide which collage they should apply to. Love struck Zoe is worried that collage will split up her and her boyfriend. Angela is playing hard ball with Jana and Jana is winning. Maddie is just laying low through her senior year. Although the girls are together now they are worried that the collages they choose will be far enough away to split the three best friends apart. I would recommend this book to girls who like realistic fiction. Find out if they will stay best friends even though Jana is out to get them and that they might be thousands of miles apart!

The book I read was Who I Am Without Him, by Sharon Flake. She also wrote The Skin I’m In and Begging For Change. This book is different than the other books, because it’s about young men and women weigh what they need from the opposite gender. What they need too find themselves. This popular short-story collection gives twelve unique stories. AS relationships go either right or wrong with, surprising, often fenny, always on-point results. Readers will appreciate the warning signs and perhaps save themselves from the same fate as these fictional characters. This book is a great read for teens, or grown-ups who are still young at heart. I really enjoyed this book, because I can relate to a lot of the characters that are in the same situations I’m in. I enjoy reading books that that I can relate to the characters and understand the point they are trying to get across.

In That was Then, This is Now by S.E. Hinton, Bryon and Mark are best friends. When they were nine, Mark’s parents got into a drunken argument and shot each other. Since then, Mark and Bryon have been as close as brothers. Now sixteen, they seem to be growing apart. Mark has been going out more lately and making a lot of money when he is out. Bryon has been spending more time with his girlfriend, Cathy. Bryon starts to notice they’re growing apart, but can’t figure out why. He thinks it could be Mark’s jealousy of Cathy spending more time with Bryon, or whatever it is that is sending Mark home with loads of money. Also, he is sick of street fighting, while Mark can’t seem to get enough of it. Their friendship is tested throughout the book and the result left Bryon with the most difficult decision of his life.

I enjoyed this book because it was full of action, yet not too much action. It teaches you a lesson about who you should trust, and that you don’t know how much some people mean to you until they’re gone. I recommend this book to people who like to read S.E. Hinton books or books of that nature (teenagers in the late 50’s).

The main character, Mia, has synesthesia. Whenever she hears a sound, she sees a shape and color. Also, letters and words have colors for her, too. When she finally reveals her secret, Mia feels as if there was something wrong with her. This is a story about a girl who has to discover how it is like to be different.
I really enjoyed this book because it was fun to find out more about synesthesia as the book went on. I also liked it because the book teaches you valuable lessons, such as the fact that being different is not necessarily bad.
I recommend this to people who like to read about something new (in this case, synesthesia).

The book I have just finished is Wenny has Wings by Janet Lee Carey. This book is about Will North an eleven year old boy who had survived a car crash when his little sister Wenny had not. One day while in the hospital Mr. James a preacher comes to visit him and gives him a blank notebook. He tells Will to write to God about his feelings. Instead, Will writes to Wenny who he believes is watching him up in heaven. The whole book is letters from his notebook that he wrote to Wenny about how he is dealing with her death. I recommend this book not only because it is an easy read, but it really showed the characters emotions, and showed how a kid deals with the loss of his little sister.

The book I have recently finished is Thirteen by Lauren Myracle. It is about a girl named Winnie who is in seventh grade and is having lots of problems. Then the next year in eight grade Winnie starts to feel like she's losing him and feels like he doesnt want to spend time with her. All of Winnie's problems go from boys to growing up and Winnie just doesnt know how to deal with it all. On the other hand Winnie's mom is having a baby and now shes expecting another sister. To find out how Winnie deals with all the drama and stress of middle school you have to read this book Thirteen by Lauren Myracle. Since the author of this book is so good at writing books like these its so easy to connect to and a great read for girls around the age of thirteen.

The book I've recently finished is Wanted by Sara Shepard. It's the final book in the Pretty Little Liars series. The four "Pretty Little Liars" are now really to unlocking the mystery of their "friend" Ali's death. They were shocked to discover that Ali had a secret twin sister named Courtney. When Courtney arrived in Rosewood, she started playing with the four girls' minds. Because of her good looks, she instantly became the most popular girl in school and became friends with Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna. The girls were far too excited about their new friendship than to notice that Courtney is actually hiding a a huge secret from them.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery because the story talks about Ali's death a lot. There's also bits of romance and drama that girl might enjoy reading about. This final volume will keep you on the edge of your seat until you reach the end.

I think girls would like this book because it has Drama ,Romance.
One more thing about the book is there in a boy named Blake but he is gay and none knows. ....

Crash by newberry medalist Jerry Spinelli is a highly recommended book. Crash is recommended because of the setting the book takes place. The setting is in Pennsylvania on a cul-de-sac with fourteen houses.
The characters all have great personalities and backgrounds. Crash comes from great history of a great navy cook. His name is known as Scooter. Scooter had a stroke when he was working on his granddaughters tree house years after he retired in the navy. His stroke caused him to be in a rehabilitation center for recovery. Crash, on the other hand, the great football hero, started football when he got his first football helmet. At that time he knocked his cousin out into the snow. This is how Crash got his nickname. When Crash first moved to Pennsylvania, he met someone that was hated for a long time. This person was Penn. Penn was named from the great race that his great grandpa had won called the Penn relays. The reason why Crash hated Penn so much was because of how he lead people and of how happy he always was. Not to mention that he was not very tuff. Crash then met Mike. Mike was Crash's best friend because of how he stood up to Crash. He did this by showing no fear of Crash.
From all these characters a plot was formed. There were other characters, but they were static. The plot starts off with the introduction when Crash meets Penn and Mike. Then, the rising actions, he starts to become famous to all the cool kids at school, but not Penn. At the end, During the climax, Scooter has a stroke which makes crash care a bout Penn and be nice to him. The falling action is where Crash starts caring about Penn and Penn becomes more popular than In the resolution, Penn and Crash become best friends. We liked this book partly because of of football. The other reason of why we liked this book was because of the many characters that occur. We recommend that you read this book.

The book I recently read was Angel by James Patterson and is the seventh book in the Maximum Ride series.This book is about Max, her flock, and Fang. Fang was in the flock untill he decided to leave in the previous book. In this book Max and the flock take on the Doomsday group, a huge group of people who believe they should kill all the humans and start the world over again with just the mutants. Though that wouldn't include Max, her flock, and Fang they are still going to try and stop the group. The Flock (Max, Iggy, Angel, Gazzy, Nudge, and Dylan) are called The Flock because each of them, and Fang, have wings. So throughout the book both Fang and The Flock learn about this Doomesday group. Fang also creates a new gang of mutants who help him.Both groups later come together to fight the Doomsday group.Though it's not so easy. Fang crushed Max's heart and she is not going to be so forgiving. She has replaced Fang with Dylan and Fang has replaced Max with her clone, Max II or now called Maya. To learn what happens you have to read the book and find out.
I loved the Maximum Ride series and would recomend it to boys and girls. I think boys will like it for all the action and girls will like it for all the drama.

They are each trying to survive their sophomore year but Angela is always falling in love with the wrong guys and Maddie had some issues at a party and Zoe has this one teacher’s attention a little too much. They promised that they wouldn’t drift a part but it’s farther in the year and Maddie and Zoe are hanging with a new crowd while Angela is trying to stay loyal. If you want to know if the three girls friendship survive then read the book. I would recommend this book to girls because it has girl problems and girlier events that boys don’t care about.

I have read a book by Pamela Porter called The Crazy Man. It’s about a young girl named Emiline, living on a wheat farm and her dog, Prince, chases a rabbit around the field while Em and her father are riding the tractor. Prince didn’t realize that he ran in front of the tractor and Em jumped off to protect Prince. Unfortunately, her father accidentally ran over her foot that left her with a permanent disability and after Em was placed in the hospital her father blamed Prince for everything and tied him up and shot him then walked up the street and never looked back. Em and her mother were left to fend for themselves, so everyone told them to get extra help. The mother went to the mental hospital and had a patient help her in field. I would recommend this book to anyone that can handle and not be immature about the situation.

The book i just finished is Dead is the New Black by Marlene Perez. In Daisy's spooky hometown, Nightshade, there have been a couple deaths of high school girls. Nobody knows how these girls mysteriosy died. Everyone in Daisy's family are psychs except for her. Sometimes Daisy feels left out because the others in her family use their powers to solve crimes. But this time Daisy says shes gonna help solve the mystery whether she has powers or not.
I would reccommend this book to anyone who likes mystery becuase you will be trying to see who killed the high school girls and what caused them to become ill. Also since the main character is a girl, girls may like this better then boys. But if your a boy you may still like it. Once i started reading this book i just couldnt put it down. So give this book a try because you may really enjoy it.

The go hunting for the monsters that killed his uncle and travel long and far to find the fiends. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and fiction.

But it just won't come out of her, everytime she tries to tell them she just freezes.
I mostly recommend this book to girls because the main character is a girl. I would also recommend this book to someone who likes mystery becuase throughout the book you're trying to find out Melinda's secret. When I started to read this book i couldnt stop. This book is about a girl named Lucy Desburg and how her family pharmacy might shut down. I recently finished the book Head Games by Keri Mikulski. The genre of this book is realistic fiction. The main characters in this book are Hannah and Taylor. Taylor is tall, pretty and amazing at basketball. But she doesn’t believe any of it. Taylor’s best friend Hannah loves fashion and hates sports. Hannah is doing a fashion show and asked Taylor to be her model. Taylor thinks that she is too tall and not pretty enough to be in the fashion show. Taylor struggles with finding herself and tolerating herself. That’s not all, Taylor also has to decide between Zach, the super popular, super tall, basketball star and Matt, the sweet boy from her math class. Right now she just has too much going on that its hard to handle.

I would recommend this book to girls because the characters in this book are girls. if you like realitic fiction books with drama this is the right book for you!

In this book the girls are trying to find out who is sending them weird text messages by the name of “A”. All four girls are experiencing new problems and drama because of “A” and are having to pay the consequences the hard way. Emily is being shipped off to Iowa to live with her crazy cousins, Aria’s boyfriend is going to jail, because of her. Spencer thinks she was involved in Ali’s murder and Hanna is clinging to a hospital bed after getting hit by a car the night that she thought she found out who is “A”. In this book there is lots of drama and secrets. Also in this book you will discover something that you will not expect. You might even find out who killed Ali and why. In Unbelievable you will also find out who “A” is and you would never suspect it. If you want to find out who killed Ali and who “A” is you have to read the books. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes drama and mystery.

Stanley tries to dig up the truth of what there looking for. I would recommend this book to boys because the main characters are boys. Can Stanley break the chain of his family have bad luck because they were cursed? Will he find what the warden is looking for? Read the book and find out!

I would recommend this book to boys and girls, because even though the relatives try to kill each other, there’s not too much violence. Also, there are boy and girl characters that have equal skills and abilities.

The book I read was Framed by Gordon Korman. It’s about a boy named Griffin Bing who is trying to change his bad reputation. Griffin has recently been blamed for stealing a valuable Super Bowl ring from his school. Even though he didn’t take it, everyone else except his friends and parents think he did steal it. Throughout the story, Griffin tries to catch the real culprit, but instead, he keeps getting into more trouble. For instance, Griffin gets put under house arrest with an ankle bracelet. However, with the help of his friend Melissa, he hacks it off so he can leave the house. If you want to know who actually stole the ring, you will have to read the book.

I would recommend this book to both boys and girls, because it’s not too violent or boyish. The book has situations and experiences to which both boys and girls can relate.

Son of the Mob is an funny, realistic fiction book. I think that this book is good for both boys and girls. Son of the Mob is about a regular high school boy named Vince Luca. Vince’s dad, Anthony Luca, is in charge of a huge criminal organization. While Vince tries to lead a normal life, his dad’s job is always interfering. For example, when Vince signs up for the school football team, no one will even touch Vince out of fear that his dad will “pay them a visit”. Also, the Luca house is completely bugged by the FBI. The only way that they can talk to each other is down in the basement. To make matters worse, Vince falls in love with FBI agent’s daughter, Kendra Bightly. Now Vince has to find a way to keep his family secret away from Kendra because if he doesn’t, he would risk having his dad arrested. If you want to find out if Vince can keep the secret and keep his dad out of jail, you’re going to have to read the book.

The book I read was The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. This book is about a boy named Ponyboy Curtis, telling everything that is happening in his life, for instance, what happens in the gang he is in, which they call themselves Greasers. The Greasers always get in fights with another gang/group called the Socs, who tend to have the easier life than the Greasers. Throughout the book, even though his parents were killed in a car accident, it seems as though Ponyboy has a good life, until one night, when his older brother, Darry, has a meltdown on him, he runs away with his friend Johnny. While they are resting in the park, a few of the Socs attack them, and while one of them is drowning Ponyboy in a fountain, Johnny stabs the Soc, and kills him. That’s when everything in Ponyboy’s life changes for the worse, and you will have to read to see what happens next.
I would recommend this book to mainly boys, because the main character is a boy, and all of the people in the gang are boys. Also, there is a lot of violence, but girls could read it too.

Spencer is trying to piece together the puzzle of her family's past and gets herself into a world of trouble only to find out she was tricked yet again.In the end when they get super close to finding out some major secrets, that people have been hiding from them, Hanna, Emily, and Spencer find them selves caught in a fire in Spencer's backyard. Aria on the other hand was on her way to tell her friends some big news, when someone set a fire in the woods that leaded to Spencer's house.When caught in this fire Aria discovers something huge, that you wont believe and can only find out if you read this book series by Sara Shepard. The book I've just recently finished is Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. In the little town of Rosewood, there are four high school juniors; Spencer, Emily, Aria, and Hanna. Underneath their beauty, each one of them holds an ugly secret. When they thought their secrets were safe, a mysterious stalker who calls himself/herself "A" begins to send threatening messages to them, containing tiny bits of their secret. The four former friends begin to think that "A" could be Alison, their friend that had been missing since 7th grade because she's the only one that knew their secret. Could it be Alison that's coming back for revenge?

I recommend this book to mostly girls because the book includes problems that girls will go through. The book is also mentions a lot about girl drama and relationships that boys probably won't understand as much. Since all of the main characters are girls, the book will be set towards a girl's point of view. If you like a mystery or drama kind of book, then check Pretty Little Liars out!

He always knew who needed a mood lift. Dewey later became known throughout the world. This nonfiction book is told from Vicki's point of view, and includes turns both funny and touching.

I recommend this book to all cat lovers. I especially like the part where Dewey brightens up a disabled little girl's life. This is different from other stories because it's nonfiction, but it still is a great read.

I have recently read The Magician by Michael Scott and I really enjoyed it. This book is the second book in a series of so far 4 books, and I recommend reading the first book, The Alchemyst, before you read this book. Anyways the genre of The Magician is Fantasy. The main characters are Josh and Sophie Newman and Nicholas Flamel. Josh and Sophie are part of a prophecy and they are chosen to save the world from the Dark Elders. There are 2 types of elders, the original and the Next Generation. These two are split up into two other groups, The Dark Elders, or the ones who want to take over the world they once owned, and the normal Elders, who accept the fact that humans now rule the world.
The Dark Elders want to rule the world and the only thing stopping them are these twins, Josh and Sophie. Dr. Dee, who is working for the Dark Elders, is chasing Nicholas Flamel, Scatty, and the twins all over Paris. While Dr. Dee is tracking them down, Nicholas is taking Josh and Sophie to masters of the elemental magics to train Josh and Sophie so they don’t fall into the wrong hands. In the magician Flamel, Josh, and Sophie, and Scatty are being chased around Paris.
I think this book is for boys and girls because there is a boy and girl main character. I really enjoyed this book and think everyone should read it.

Did you know that there was a civil war and genocide in Africa in the 1980s and 90s in which millions of people died? Those who survived were driven from their villages and had to endure horrible conditions in refugee camps. A Long Walk to Water is based on this genocide and the aftermath.

This novel is based on a true story about a boy named Salva who was 9 when his village was attacked. He had to flee to Ethiopia and then Kenya in order to survive. Salva's story is amazing! You have to read this book to believe all that he went through. The novel also relays the story of a girl named Nya who lives in Sudan in 2010. The two stories cross at the end in a surprising way.

This novel is an easy and enjoyable read. You will learn a lot about the people who became known as The Lost Boys of Sudan.

The book I just recently finished is Reality Check by Peter Abrahams. Cody's life had been perfect. I would recommend this book to anyone that like like mysteries because this book is all about looking for clues and figuring out the mystery step by step. This book also contain some fist-fighting action, so if you like a little action in some stories, then this book is right for you. Reality Check is certainly a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat until you reaches the last page.

The book Monster is about a 16 year old boy getting sent to jail for murder, and went on trial. Even though Steve isn’t guilty, he is still worried about the jury making the wrong decision, and him going to jail for about the rest of his life.
The reason that the court thinks Steve committed the murder is because they think that two other guys, Bobo Evans and James King, forced him into helping them stick up a drugstore on the edge of the block. During the hold up, the owner, Mr. Nesbit, gets shot and killed, and the jury think there is a possibility that Steve is the one who shot the gun.
This book is more about how scared of this whole situation Steve is, not just the fact that someone was murdered. He always rights down how he feels, and what makes him most upset is that his family is so upset, and it is hardest for him to think about spending his life away fro them.
I would recommend this book to mostly boys, because it’s kind of violent, but girls could read it too.

The book I’ve read is Define Normal by Julie A. Peters. When Antonia has to work with a girl named Jasmine (Jazz) in a session. She is totally against it. Antonia knows that Jazz is one of those people don’t care about school and dresses in a certain way. Both of them are totally opposite from each other. One likes the color black, and one likes the color pink and one loves reading and the other loves music. When they end up meeting more at sessions they sort of develop a friendship. They’ll learn that “what you see isn’t always what you get.”
I would recommend this book to people who like books that they don’t expect something out of the character. Also if you like books by Julie A. Peters and you haven’t tried this out, this would be another book for you to look at. To find out more about the book, read Define Normal.

The book I just finished reading is Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. Before Jeremy's dad passed away he had left this box for Jeremy to open when he turned thirteen. Now, in a few months Jeremy will be old enough to open this box and see what's inside. But the only problem is . . . he doesn't have the keys! Jeremy and his best friend Lizzy go on this wonderful adventure to find the missing keys. Along the way they get caught into some trouble and they have to help an old man named Oswald Oswald. They have looked everywhere, but still no sign of the keys.

I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes a little adventure full of suprise because Jeremy and Lizzy search throughout the whole city to find the keys. But if you can't handle books with some sad parts then this may not be a good book for you. Overall this was a great book because you felt like you were right there with them during the whole quest. The book is about a teenager names Adam that has moved around a lot because his Dad is in the military and his family has to move with there father. Bea Adams sister doesnt mind but when they move to Hawii Adam makes a friend Davi. He sees Davi at the beach and and plays football with him and his friends and on his way home he wipes out on his bike so Davi told him that he could go woth him to his house and his dad could fix it. And adam didnt want to be late and he went with Davi and his dad fied his bike and he was late any ways. his dad asked him why was he late and he told his father the truth. His father asked were does Davi live and Adam told him. His father was mad at him because he lives in Chinatown and his father says that they are Japenesse and adam tried to argue. Then he was hanging out with Davi and They were getting shot at by a Japenesse plane and they thouht it was a show. If you want to find out the rest you will have to read it yourself. It is awsome!

Ali and the girls all had secrets that nobody could know. For three years all their secrets were safe but then all of a sudden they started to receive text messages from an unknown number who calls him or herself “A”. This person started to find out all of their secrets,even ones that the other girls didn't know. If you want to find out who murdered Ali and is sending the nasty messages to these girls,you have to read the books.

The book I've just completed is Heaven looks A lot Like the Mall by Wendy Mass When Tessa suffers a huge accident in gym class, she ends up in heaven or what she thinks is heaven. She realizes that heaven looks alot like her hometown mall. While shes there, she starts to relive her life. Yet, its only her whole dream. She goes through things that she would rather forget. Maybe things that shed rather fix or change.
There is still one problem. Tessa still has to find the answer to one important question out of all of this. You will have to figure it out and if she does it.

I would recommend this book to people who like free verse. Also people who can make a movie in their head. I would say this book is very discriptive at some moments. I especially like the structure of how the book is written. This was definetly a phenomenalread.

to deal with Ally's murder and find out who killed Ally. To make their
stressful lives even more paranoid they started recieving texts from a
person named A who threatens them about secrets that only their friend Ally knew.Throughout this series they don't know who A is but in this book Unbelievable they find out who the culprit is and things take a turn for the worst. Someone is not who they say they are and are going to cause lots of trouble which could put life at risk.If you want to find out who A is and who is Ally's killer you have to read the Pretty Little liars series book

The book I recently read was called The Alchemyst by Michael Scott. The book is about twins named Josh and Sophie who are part of a prophecy in an ancient book called The Book of Abraham the Mage. This book is being gaurded by Nicholas Flamel, an immortal alchemist. Nicholas is guarding this book against a force called the Dark Elders. The Elders are people who existed before humans apeared on earth. These elders helped humans first get on there feet. Then humans became the Elders slaves.The Dark Elders want to bring that way of life back and the only way they can do that is by getting the book Nicholas is protecting.
      This book starts out with Josh and Sophie at work. Right now Josh and Sophie don't know anything about the Codex (The Book of Abraham the Mage), the Elders, or about the prophecy they are in. Josh and Sophie are at work when Dr. John Dee enters the book store Josh and Nicolas Flamel work at. Dr. Dee is working with the Dark Elders and attacks the bookshop, an steals all but 2 pages of the Codex. Josh, Nick, and Sophie escape but Nick's wife, Perrenelle, has been kidnapped. Josh, Nick, and Sophie have to save Perry and save the world before the Dark elders do or they are doomed.
       The genre of this book is Fantasy and I think this book is for boys and girls because there is a boy and girl character. I really enjoyed this book and think everyone should read it. This book is the first book of a series of currently 4 books.

But now it's too late. Then Kassey shockingly finds out a girl named Arabeth has her best friend, Elowyn's heart.
I would definetly reccomend this book to someone who can handle books because this book has some sad parts in it. One thing that's special about this book is that each chapter is told by a different character. This makes it easier to see what each person is thinking.When I started reading this phenominal book I couldn't stop. You should definetly checkout this book too.

The book Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry, is about Kira, a girl who lives in what's supposed to be the future of the world. Most memory of past technology has been lost, as a result, people must make all resources by hand. People are less generous, and only care about others if the other's life affects they're own. Kira, is crippled, born with a twisted leg she's had to walk with a cane all her life. She is the daughter of a weaver, but when her mother dies the other women turn against her becuase, having a twisted leg, she is no longer any use to the village. Eventually, they hold a trial against her, but they're government, the Council of Guardians, decide to let her live if she repairs and completes a robe for them. As it turns out, Kira is an extremely gifted weaver as well. Kira quickly figures out that things might not be what they seem, and Kira tries to solve the mystery of her village. It's a really good book, and even though the main character is a girl, I would recomend it for both boys and girls, who like Mysteries.

The book I chose was Hunting Memories by Barb Hendee. It is a fantasy fiction book. The main character Elisha is a vampire, who is living in Portland with her two companions Phillip a vampire, and Wade a human; who all have telepathy. One day they receive a letter from Rose, another vampire who wants to reach out to others of her kind. Elisha has found out a new way to draw out victim's blood without having to kill them. She wants to share this new information with Rose. Elisha also wants other vampires to come and form a haven and bond against Julian Ashton; a vampire who has been killing his own kind for the past century. She wants to meet Rose face to face, but doesn't know what to expect. She may even be a spy for Julian, but Elisha is willing to risk it. Memories are coming out from the past that all seem to connect with each other. I enjoyed Hunting Memories by Barb Hendee. I read the summary on the back and thought it would be interesting, I also noticed that it was a vampire book and I enjoy those types of stories. The thing I liked most about the book was the plot. It reminded me a little of the Twilight Saga. I think that anyone who enjoys vampires and creatures living in a world together will enjoy this book.

This year I read the book Found by:Margaret Peterson Haddix. Basically this book is about a group of kids who have just discovered that they're really from the past,because they were brought to the future by time travelers to get money. Therefore time got damaged so now Jonah,Chip,Katherine, and Alex all have to travel back to their own time to fix time. That the time travelers damaged by taking them from history. I think that this book is science fiction because there's no such thing as time travel. Also because there's no such thing as an elucidator(a futuristic weapon that can do anything even turn people invisible.)

One of the reasons I liked this book was because there's a lot of adventure in it because they found out chip and Alex are really brothers whereas Chip is a king and Alex is a prince. So they have to travel back to the fifteenth century to fight in a battle to defend the crown. While there's a lot of adventure there's also a lot of drama because everyone is sad because they're scared they'll die and be stuck in the past forever. I would recommend this book to people who like action,adventure,drama,historic fiction,science fiction,fantasy,and romance because this book and the others in this series have all of these things in them.

Have you ever wished that you had a special power? Perhaps, invisibility, being able to fly from place to place or even read minds? Well that’s no problem for a young wizard named Harry Potter who can do anything with a flick or tap of hiss wand. The book I’ve chosen is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. Harry goes to a school under the title Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is Harry’s second year in Hogwarts and this year’s no walk in the park. Someone or something is petrifying every poor soul in its path (not to mention a teacher’s cat). If someone can’t find who ever or what ever is doing this, Hogwarts will be shut down…FOREVER! Loving the school more than anything, Harry feels it’s up to him to do so. With the help of his two faithful friends Ron, and Hermoine. This book’s genre (which is my definite favorite) is fantasy.

I honestly enjoyed this book because of the suspense, action, and mystery that constantly keeps the reader’s nose in the book and at the edge of their seat. I highly recommend this book to those who like fantasy and/or science fiction, as well as a challenge. I don’t recommend this book to people who enjoy realistic fiction or biographies because this book is far from real. Once again, this is my book recommendation for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

The amazing book I am reading is Sent by Margaret Paterson Haddix. The gist of my story is that the main characters Jonah, Katherine, Chip, Alex are zapped back in time to the 15th century. Where they find out that Chip is supposed to be King Edward V and Alex was supposed to be Richard, Duke of York. The two characters find out that there uncle is trying to kill them since so he can become king since the boy’s father died. So now Jonah, Katherine, Chip and Alex are trying to fix the past. Will they be able to fix the past and get back to their previous time zone? The book that I am reading contains elements of mystery, adventure and science fiction.

I enjoy this book a lot because it is very interesting and it involves some of my favorite genres mystery and science fiction. The people who may enjoy this book are the people the like genres that this book includes. The other people that will enjoy this book are people that like books that involve the 15th century.

Well in the wonderfully horrific tale The Trials of Death by Darren Shan must face certain doom if he does not complete all 5 of his death defying challenges. One may ponder aimlessly looking for questions as to what happened in this horrifingly humorous tale. First before I begin I really should reveal the author and genre. The genius that produced this tale of terror is known as Darren Shan. This fantastically freaky novels classification is fantasy but it also has an enjoyable mix of horror. Here is the gist of this action packed tale. In this book Darren Shan must face five trials of death. The fist fear induced challenge is a seventeen-foot water filled aquatic maze. Next our hero will move on to a path of sterling silver stalacites.then Darren will transfer to the hall of flames, then move to the challenge of wild boars. The fifth challenge still sadly remains unknown. How will Darren survive?
If you put that aside you may be wondering if this horrifying story may not be for you. This fantastic story is very fast paced. If you can’t keep up this novel this story is certainly not composed to suit your needs. In addition to being fast paced this book is filled with incredibly gory details. If you’re easy to scare this book will scare the living daylights out of you. I believe it is clear to see that if you can’t handle gory vampires and ugly monsters this book is clearly not for you! If the Franks and Vaan Danns are caught the will be taken to work camps and forced to work until they’re too sick or too old to die. This book takes place during 1942 and 1944.

I enjoyed this book very much. You would love this book because it is full of action and mystery. If you love mysteries you will love don’t look behind you by Louis Duncan.

One of the books that I have read in the past year was Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan. This realistic fiction and drama book is about a girl that had a very good life then it starts getting worse and worse by the second. Esperanza is a girl in Mexico and she always wanted a good life. Her father has been ambushed and killed when she turned 12. That night her house went into flames. Esperanza and her mother lost all of their money and all of their things. So they had to go all the way to California to work. It was pretty hard for Esperanza and her mother. Later in the book Esperanza’s mother started to get very ill, so she couldn’t work.
I loved this book a lot because I like to read realistic fiction books and I like to read drama books. When I read the back of this book I thought that it would be a perfect book for me. I think that this book belongs to anybody that likes a lot of drama. They would enjoy this book because there is a play about it and you might enjoy the play. Therefore you might like the book.

The book that I am recommending is Tangerine by Edward Bloor. This book is about a boy named Paul Fisher, who moved from Texas to Tangerine, Florida. When they got to Florida it wasn’t how they imagined it. Tangerine turns out to be very unique and weird place to live. For one thing, Paul’s neighborhood is next to a field where there is a muck fire that has never burnt out. Tangerine is very unusual. To find out more you should read this book. The genre of this book is realistic fiction.
I like this book because it is full of surprising and weird things that happen. I also like this book because it doesn’t have a lot of characters and isn’t very confusing. I would recommend this book to people that like soccer and people who like a little weirdness in the story. People who like realistic fiction will also like this book. Overall this is a very good book. You should read it.

The book I will be recommending is called L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad. The genre of the series is realistic fiction and it’s about two girls named Jane and Scarlett. When the two girls move to Los Angeles to move out of their comfort zones, they get picked to be on a new reality television show called L.A. Candy and it changes their whole lives. Involved in this book are a lot of heartbreaks, a lot of drama, and a lot of wondering of what could happen next.
I would recommend this book to teenagers because it has some inappropriate behavior and bad language. Still this series is fantastic with its dramatic story line and characters. This series has three books in it so far and it has never left me un-entertained yet. I hope this recommendation helps you.

The book Payback by Paul Langan in the Bluford High Series was an outstanding novel. Tyray Hobbs, the main character, has grown up around a bad environment and trouble all his life. He is a notorious bully. After Darrell Mercer takes enough of Tyray’s nonsense he beats him up and breaks his wrist. When Tyray gets tired of being teased at school, he gets something that changes his life. This results in a life or death situation. The genre of this book is realistic fiction.
I enjoyed this book because it seemed so real. I could imagine the story in my head while I was reading because the author put so much imagery in his text. The story flowed together very nicely, and it taught me a lesson at the end. I would recommend this book to people who like realistic fiction books and some drama. If I had to rate this book out of five stars I would give it five stars because I liked the ending.
